Amili is built so you can use it without an account, and so that what you share stays yours. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how to control it — in plain words.

The short version. You can read and talk with Amili without signing up. We don't show ads and we don't sell your data. Your conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest — but not end-to-end: our servers can read your messages, because Amili needs to read them to reply and to remember. You can see and delete everything Amili knows about you, anytime, on your page.

What we collect

What you write. Your messages and conversations. To reply, Amili sends them to Anthropic's Claude API (our AI provider). Anthropic processes them to generate a response and, under its commercial API terms, does not use them to train its models.

What Amili remembers. As you talk, Amili automatically notes durable facts about you — things like "learning Spanish" or "has a daughter named Mia" — to build its memory and feel like it knows you. You can view and delete every memory on your page.

Technical context. To make Amili feel local to you, we collect your time zone and local time, your language(s), your device and browser type, screen size, and an approximate location — your city, region and country, and a rough area — worked out from your internet connection by Cloudflare. This is not GPS-precise. Precise location is only ever used if you explicitly turn it on, and you can turn it off again.

Account details — only if you sign up: your email address.

Payment details — only if you subscribe: handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Usage analytics. We use Plausible (privacy-first, no cookies, no personal profiles) to count visits, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use Amili through anonymized session analytics and heatmaps. Clarity masks the text you type.

Where it's stored

Your conversations, memories and context are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. To be clear once more: this is not end-to-end encryption — we can read your data to provide the service, and we hold ourselves to the commitments on this page.

Who we share it with

Only the providers Amili needs to work: Anthropic (to generate replies), Cloudflare (hosting and approximate location), Stripe (payments, if you subscribe), and Plausible + Microsoft Clarity (analytics). We do not sell your data, and we do not train our own models on your conversations.

Your controls

Children

Amili isn't intended for people under 16. Please don't use it if you're younger than that.
