Amili Mail

Your inbox, one mail at a time.

Read it, decide, next.

Amili Mail is a plugin for the Amili app. Switch it on and a Mail tab shows all your Gmail inboxes the way Amili shows everything else: one mail, a short summary of what it asks, and the few things you can do with it. You decide what happens. Replies are drafts you send yourself.

In early access

Mail is off until you turn it on in Settings, and works with Gmail only for now. Opening Gmail access to everyone needs a review by Google; until that is done, Mail is open to a small test group.

What it looks like.

The sender, the subject and one or two sentences on what the mail wants from you. Tap to read the whole mail. The arrows step to the next one, and the counter says how many are left.

Newsletters get a link to their own unsubscribe page, so leaving a list is one tap, done by you.

What you can do with a mail.

Archive

Out of the inbox, still in Gmail. Undo is right there for a few seconds.

Later

Gone from the inbox until tomorrow morning, then back in it.

Important

Marks it important in Gmail, the same mark Gmail itself uses.

Label

Pick one of your own Gmail labels. Your filters and folders keep working.

Draft reply

Say in a few words what you want to answer, or nothing at all. Amili writes the reply into your Gmail drafts. You read it and send it from Gmail.

Unsubscribe page

For newsletters, the sender's own unsubscribe link, opened when you tap it. Amili never unsubscribes for you.

All your Gmail accounts, in one tab.

Personal, work, a shop: connect each one once. Mail shows them together, newest first, with the account on every mail.

  1. Switch Mail onSettings in the Amili app, then Mail. Nothing changes until you do.
  2. Connect GmailGoogle asks you to let Amili view and organise your mail. You choose the account.
  3. Add another"Add another Gmail account" connects the next one. Remove any of them in Settings; that also takes Amili's access back at Google.

What it never does.

Amili never sends an email and never deletes one. A reply is a draft until you send it from Gmail yourself. Nothing is moved to the trash, and nothing is unsubscribed for you.

Your mail stays in Gmail. Amili reads it when you open the Mail tab.

  • Your Google access stays on the server, encrypted, and is never shown in the app.
  • Summaries are kept two weeks, encrypted, so the same mail is not read twice. The mail itself is not copied.
  • No tracking, no ads, and nothing sold. Your mail is not used to train AI models.

When can I use it?

Mail is in early access inside the Amili app. The private beta opens 14 October, ten people first. Join the beta and you hear first when Mail opens to you.
